INVITATION TO BIDS

1. The Hope Foundation for Women and Children of Bangladesh has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) toward the cost of the project “Supporting the Sustainability of HOPE Field Hospital for Rohingya Refugees in Camp 4 at Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh”, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for “Renovation of Hope Field Hospital compound located at Rohingya Camp no. 4”. Now Hope Foundation for Women and Children of Bangladesh invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following works:

   1. Renovation of Hope Field Hospital (Corrugated Iron sheet roofing with Mild Steel frame, Tiles, Aluminium-glass window, Septic tank, Electrical & Plumbing works etc.)

   2. Renovation of Concrete Walkway

   3. Construction of Boundary wall (RCC column with Corrugated Iron sheet boundary)
       

2. Interested bidder must have experience of at least one similar contract in terms of physical size, complexity and methods/technology with minimum value of BDT 17.4 million that have been satisfactorily and substantially completed as a prime contractor, joint venture member, management contractor or sub-contractor between 1st January 2021 and bid submission deadline.
    

3. The construction period is 180 days.
    

4. Bidding will be conducted through the national competitive bidding procedures as specified in the IsDB’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current edition, can be found in IsDB website www.isdb.org), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.
    

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents from Hope Foundation for Women and Children of Bangladesh at the address below during office hours (09:00 to 17:00 hours).
    

6. A complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of BDT 2,000. The method of payment will be in cash or electronic payment. The document will be sent by courier service or the interested bidder’s representative may collect it by hand from the address below.
    

7. A Pre-Bid conference shall take place at 11:00 AM on 10 July 2025 at the address below. A site visit conducted by the Employer shall be organized. Attendance in the above Pre-Bid conference or to the site visit is not mandatory.
    

8. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of BDT 530,000 (Five Hundred Thirty Thousand) only in favour of “Hope Foundation for Women and Children of Bangladesh”, and be delivered to the address below by 04:00 PM on 23 July 2025. They will be opened immediately thereafter (at 04:00 PM), in the presence of bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend, at the address below. Late bids will be rejected and returned unopened.
